Celtic-inspired woodburned decorative plate featuring a dragonfly trio

Product Description:

The dragonfly symbolizes fresh perspective, the ability to choose a new path, the essence of the spirit over the material world, adaptability, and transformation. Dragonflies are often seen as messengers from the other world.

This personally designed hand drawing with a Celtic-inspired theme was drawn on paper, then traced onto an unfinished 11.5” diameter plate, and then painstakingly wood-burned. 

The drawing consists of three stylized Celtic dragonflies in a knotwork design in the center, framed by (4) arced Celtic border knots, each separated by a triple spiral symbol within a disk shape at the cardinal points. 

Once the artwork was finished, two coats of a low-VOC varnish were applied to the plate to preserve the piece.
